What scientists have to say about COVID-19 So far?
Now it’s been a while since medical researchers have been involved in studying everything about coronavirus. In this blog, we are going to check out what have they learned. Corona has become the major reason behind all the problems humanity is facing since along time now. Although, there can be many reasons due to which one can catch cold, now with corona around us, we are in fear all the time. In the past few months, corona has claimed thousands of lives and it continues to spread. Meanwhile, the scientists are busy in researching more about Sars-CoV-2 (the virus that caused Covid-19). A few months ago, no one was aware that there exists an organism like
this, but now it is responsible for killing so many people, destroying families, damaging economies, shutting down the countries and what not. But, not just scientists we too are eager to know everything possible about this deadly virus. Let’s start…

Where did Coronavirus come from?
It is almost certain that Coronavirus originated in bats and with evolution it has started responding fiercely to different viruses which have already been discovered. Thus, it is replicating faster and hence got past the immune system of the bats. From bats, it moved into other mammals and as humans lack a fast-response immune system, the virus easily got transferred from one person to another. According to a virologist Professor Edward Holmes of Sydney University “This virus probably jumped from a bat into another animal, and that other animal was probably near a human, maybe in a market”. Thus, the probability says that human beings came in contact with an animal who got coronavirus from bats. As far as transmission is concerned, then Sars-CoV-2 transfers from one human to another via droplets of water containing the virus. When an infected person sneezes or coughs, the
droplets could wither stick to a surface or directly gets in contact with the other person.

But how this virus has become successful in infecting so many people?
First of all, the Covid-19 infection is mild and the symptoms are similar to common cold, thus it is not easy to recognize if the person is affected with common cold or Coronavirus. Even there exists patients who doesn’t even depict any symptoms and are infected with this virus. This has made the jobs of the doctors and the government even more difficult. It’s true that this virus is deadly and we might have to live in fear of this God knows how
many months.

But we need to remember that this shall too pass and meanwhile we need to follow the precautionary steps, like wearing masks all the time, maintaining social distance and even cutting down your trips to the market. We don’t have to be afraid; we just need to learn to live with precautions for a while. Our offices, schools, universities and everything
will open soon.

Having the devices and corona detectors installed is necessary for all the public places is necessary for keeping a check on the corona infected people. For more details about these,
